What’s new in 2007 ? Scotland ! Take part in the” Night of bread”, “ Taste the country”thanks to the beekeepers , Win the Gingerbread contest, Answer the questions about bread or Scotland ...

Scotland :  its culture, its traditions, its landscapes, its welcome... In April, some of us spent a few days in Scotland visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. From there we spent a day through the Trossachs .This trip gave us the idea to make bread with oats and bake the famous shortbreads. At the ”Bread Feast”,  you could taste them or take them away.

The group of dancers ( part of the Association) will show you some folk dances twice. The Wallace Bagpipes Band will perform during the afternoon. Bagpipes will resound through the village.

"Vue  typique des Trossachs à Aberfoyle en allant vers le Loch Lomond".

"Dans un pub à Glasgow les musiciens, une bande de vieux copains nous ont fait danser....ambiance..."

The Night of Bread : a very important moment ! Bread is made and bake during the night from 10 p.m to 6 a.m. While the village is asleep, the “bread workshop” is busy in the open...We have to knead (for big quantities, some machines are used specially), fashion, prepare the tins ( we use baskets), heat up the brick-ovens with wood, remove the embers from the ovens . When the loaves have risen enough, bring the the baskets  to the baker to put the loaves in the brick-ovens, out of it when it’s time, store them in a dry place ...all this is done in the open ...the stars are your friends...all around is  in the dark...you are floodlighted by a neon or the flames of the glowing embers...in short: an unforgettable moment that show us/you the poetry and the strains of the baker’s work. That’s what we ‘d like to share with you. If you are interested, you are welcome on Saturday the 25th of august  from 10 p.m  at the village hall near the church.
